The RSPB nature reserve at Portmore Lough, located just outside the village of Glenavy, provides an ideal location for those of you who enjoy walking and wildlife.

The site is accessible for wheelchair users (Apart from the main 1km circular nature trail, hide and meadows) 

This reserve has many facilities including–
– Car park – space for 14 cars, additional spaces are located outside the gates
–  Toilets (including disabled)
– Picnic area
– Pier–like viewing platform, which sits at a height of almost 14 feet above meadows
– A community room, which has facilities for meetings and presentations
– Binocular hire
– Group bookings accepted
– Guided walks
