Lisburn City Council recently joined with Drumbo Park Greyhound Stadium to stage a heat of the Miss Northern Ireland Competition on Wednesday 11 May 2011. Some 23 competitors took to the stage in front of the judging panel to be awarded the Miss Lisburn City and Miss Drumbo Park titles, and a spot in the final competition to be staged at the Europa Hotel next month.

The event, organised by Alison Campbell Modelling Agency, saw an estimated crowd of 600 spectators descend upon Drumbo Park to see the girls ‘strut their stuff’ and enjoy the fabulous facilities.

DJ Connor Philips from Cool FM guided the proceedings and interviewed the final 7 girls before the judges crowned the winners. The Miss Drumbo Park title was awarded to Finola Guinnane and Miss Lisburn City was awarded to Kelly Louise Flynn.
