In 1760 Wills Hill built a market house (the Central Arcade block) with the aim of attracting linen manufacturers to the area. In 1810 the North and South wings were added. The North wing houses a courtroom, which was operational until 1986. Currently it contains a display on the Irish Legal System. The Hillsborough Tourist Information Centre is located in the building.
