Lisburn City Council is proud to present a Christmas Skating Rink during the festive season in Castle Gardens, Lisburn. The Council is sponsoring this perfect family treat over the holidays as part of its 400th Anniversary celebrations.
Christmas wouldn't be complete without a visit to Father Christmas himself and Santa will be in residence in his Grotto in Castle Gardens from the 11th December right up to Christmas Eve.
Make sure you, your family and friends visit Castle Gardens to enjoy the festive atmosphere to be found in Lisburn City this Christmas.

This award winning museum of local history is based in Lisburn's 17th Century Market House in the centre of the City. It brings to life the history of linen and its importance to Lisburn. Visitors can see the heritage of craft skills in the daily demonstrations of the hand-spinning and hand loom-weaving and admire the treasured collection of damask linen and costumes.
Local history exhibitions and displays provide the story of Lisburn's growth from the times of King James I right up to the 21st Century.
For your souvenirs the museum shop offers a wide range of craft goods and books at reasonable prices as well as an opportunity to buy fine quality Irish Linen especially the damask linen with our own "flax flower" design.

Life is just a series of bookmarks – the events that highlight how far we’ve come and how far we’ve left to go. They could be anything - weddings, funerals, charges being dropped, even facing your fears (don’t!).
Neil Delamere is one of the top headline acts working in the Irish comedy scene today. Having performed on five continents, he staged his debut solo show in the Edinburgh Festival in 2004. His live stand-up set was then recorded for the BBC comedy series One Night Stand. Neil is now a regular on the Blame Game, the topical TV show for the BBC.
Neil regularly tours and appears at leading comedy festivals including the Kilkenny Cat Laughs Festival, the Montreal Just For Laughs Festival (where he performed in the Irish gala show and then presented a six part series on the festival for RTE) and the Adelaide Fringe Festival.

release of their ground-breaking debut album Jazz Sébastien Bach in 1963, this eight-voice a cappella group has performed in every continent and on the world’s most famous stages, as well as releasing over 50 recordings and winning 5 Grammy Awards.
For over four decades, the unmistakable sound of ‘Swingle singing’ has defined the art form: virtuosic vocal agility and blend demonstrated by their signature close-microphone technique, combined with high-level entertainment that has thrilled audiences around the globe.

In a performance that delights the senses, Holla invites the audience to spend the shortest night of the year in her house, in the middle of a snowbound village. The night is dark, the winds blow cold, and quiet Jakob plays a tune or two. It isn’t only Holla, Jakob and their guests who are awake - Jack Frost is up to all sorts of mischief. While the children dream of their snowy adventures, deep down in the woods at the bottom of a tree trunk a tiny door opens...

The Rape of Lucrece is a brilliant, brutal narrative poem giving an account of the terrible crime of rape and its dreadful consequences for victim and perpetrator.
As ever, though, Shakespeare goes beyond the obvious, following the ramifications of the crime wherever they take him, shining a light on a band of human behaviour encompassing the bestial and the beautiful.
