Summary
Neil Dougan, writer of We’re not Brazil we’re Northern Ireland, hosts an evening of stand–up comedy. One of the strongest established acts on the Irish comedy circuit, Neil’s mix of incisive political satire and comical observations on everyday life is in huge demand. He tours throughout the UK and Ireland regularly hosting and headlining comedy clubs such as The Laughter Lounge in Dublin and Waterford, The Stand in Glasgow and Edinburgh, The Hyena (Newcastle), Comedy Central (Liverpool) and the Empire Comedy Club in Belfast.
Neil also writes for TV and radio – in the past he has contributed to Radio Ulster’s sketch show Don’t Make Me Laugh, Patrick Kielty’s PK Tonight (BBC1 NI) and The McKeever Show (UTV). His television appearances include BBC 1 (NI)’s The Empire Laughs Back, One Night Stand, The Blame Game and UTV’s Ultimate Ulster.
Neil has supported Tommy Tiernan and also Patrick Kielty on his Almost Live tour where audiences often exceeded 1000. In August 2011 his one man show Rough Rared received critical acclaim at Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
Bar drinks can be brought into the studio for this event.
