Summary
A unique talent, raw and powerful talent.
Described by the Sunday Times as the spiritual heir to Rory Gallagher this is a unique chance to see a gifted musician at work.
Stylish, talented and with a growing reputation for her amazing blues and jazz repertoire, Gráinne Duffy is a regular at Jazz & Blues festivals in the UK & Ireland.
She plays a mean electric blues guitar, and sings like a long lost relative of BB King or Bonnie Raitt, with classic numbers like Rather Go Blind and The Thrill has Gone in her amazing repertoire. Other influences include Fleetwood Mac, Bob Dylan and Jimi Hendrix. Gráinne has already released one highly acclaimed CD, Out of the Dark, with the eagerly anticipated follow up due for release in March 2011. She played three nights at Glastonbury in 2008 and was the voice of BBC2’s own promotional advertisement which was recorded in the famous Air Studios under the guidance of Sir George Martin.
Bar drinks can be brought into the studio for this event.
